Happy New Year!
Well, we made it. 2018 is here. It’s time to heal. Time to forgive. Time to love. Time to practice self-care.
What a great time this is, a new year. A chance to do things differently if we choose to.
What will you do in 2018 that you did not do in 2017?
Creating a better you, how will you do it?
Working on your credit score, when will you start?
Deciding to date again, where will you go to meet single individuals?
Saying no without an explanation, will you stick to your decision?
Sowing into good ground, how much will you sow?
If it’s self-care, what day of the week will it be?
I ask these questions not only for you but for myself as well. It goes like this…
If we don’t define, write down or commit to our goals, it will just be another year that we sit on the sidelines and allow life to happen to us all over again.
I challenge you to take 2018 by the horns and write down your goals. Put yourself on a schedule to accomplish self-care on whatever day you choose, but by all means stick to it and let no one get in the way of you taking care of you. As the old saying goes, put on your mask first then assist others.
Don’t forget those who may be depressed or lonely during this holiday season. They need to feel connected to remain hopeful. Won’t you offer your hand in friendship to let them know you care? It won’t cost you anything, I promise. The feeling of fulfillment will be worth it’s weight in gold and you’ll want to do it again.
Enjoy your day and make someone smile.
